It’s not enough just to be "good"

When you die, are you going to heaven?

If you haven’t accept Jesus as your Lord and savior, the answer to that is NO.

“But, I’m a good person,” you say.

Sure, you’ve never killed anyone. You try to treat people fairly.

You’ve never committed adultery - or have you?
“You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery.' But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart...” ~Matthew 5:27-28
Have you ever looked at someone of the opposite sex, lustfully?

If you’ve taken any employment assessments lately, you may have come across this question: “Have you ever lied?”

They also ask, “Have you ever stolen anything?”

Yes you have. A white lie is still a lie. Sharing software is stealing as is leaving work 15 minutes early without telling anyone - you’re stealing time from your employer who’s paying you for a full-day’s work.

So what does that make you - an adulterer, a liar and a thief, right?

That also makes you a sinner.

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~Romans 5:8
